If you envision beautiful prints on canvas or textured or smooth watercolor papers, Fine Art Giclee prints are what you may dream of.
Art galleries and museums sell, collect and display Giclee prints. The San Francisco Museum of Art, New York's Metropolitan Museum and the National Museum of Art are just a few who have elected to do so. Giclee prints have become a sought after choice for limited edition fine art.
Leigh's print production partners Photographic
Works of Tucson AZ, are regarded as one of the pre-eminent printmakers in North America, working with optimized state of the art technology, the dVinci print system, quality inks and substrates to reproduce Museum quality Fine-Art reproductions.
The process of making museum quality Giclee prints involves three main Steps:
First, a digital capture of the original artwork is made, using specialized lighting and top of the line optics to produce a high resolution digital file which contains all of the detail and color of the original.
The second step is to critically match the digital image with the original, to ensure that the image faithfully matches the tonal, color and density characteristics of the original artwork; the artist verifies and certifies the integrity of the digital file by comparing a proof to the original artwork. This is done in collaboration with the technician making the final print, and many subtle adjustments can be made at this point to fine tune the image, to exactly represent the original artwork.
Finally, using the same printer as the proof was made on, the dVinci print system, to produce a Giclee that has an exceptional range of color and tonal gradation together with an expanded gray scale, thereby ensuring spectacular Fine Art Prints.
This high-end printing system is comprised of a 54 Hi Fi Jet Printer, advanced software and a specially formulated set of pigmented and special Cone black inks, These special carbon black inks add greatly to the quality of not only black and white artwork but to color artwork as well as increasing the archival aspect of the prints. The longevity of the Giclee Prints, with appropriate care, can now be measured in hundreds of years, whether printed on Canvas or Textured or Smooth paper.
Fine Art Giclee's Prints are mounted on either a single or double Mat and for larger Fine Art Prints an acid free foam board is added to the Mat/Mount, to provide rigidity during framing and further protection during shipment.
For your convenience, both "Image size" and Overall "Mat/Mount size" are shown for each Fine Art Giclee print.
